Originally established in High Holborn, Moerans moved to Edgware in 1932 and has since been run as a vibrant family firm with a reputation for personal service and quality. Simon Shaffer
Managing Partner
Simon is also a New York attorney working with attorneys throughout the US, when they are acting on behalf of Trusts or Estates with UK assets, and British citizens purchasing properties in America.

Steven is a Transactional Property Solicitor dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing including Sales, Purchases and Re-mortgages.
Steven has wide ranging experience in dealing with New Build Properties, Established Properties, Leasehold and Freehold Property and all aspects of the transactional nature of conveyancing.
Steven can also assist with Collective Enfranchisement, the Right to Manage and Lease Extensions.
Steven is a Member of the Law Society’s Property Section and a Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) Accredited Solicitor.

Shaira Rahman
Solicitor
Shaira joined the Moerans family in July 2022 and is a solicitor in the Private Client department specialising in non-contentious probate and trust matters.
Prior to joining Moerans, Shaira was a partner in a high-street firm for over three years working with a broad range of local, national, and international clients.
With over 15 years of experience in the legal field and having gained wide experience in many different areas of law, Shaira now concentrates on private client as it enables her to build long-term relationships with her clients and utilise her skills in presenting sometimes confusing matters in a clear, empathetic, and non-technical way.

Elliot Levenson
Solicitor
Elliot trained and qualified at Moerans, having also worked here as a paralegal prior to his training. He is a solicitor specialising in all aspects of residential conveyancing, acting for UK and overseas individuals, estates and companies advising on disposals and acquisitions of freehold and leasehold properties, remortgages, as well as general private client matters. Providing a client focused conveyancing service to his clients, guiding clients through the conveyancing process, with extensive knowledge of the local area and properties.

Jane Fisher
Legal Executive
Jane joined the firm in October 2023, having worked at a west end and then a National Firm as a Partner and Director. Jane brings over 30 years of transactional property experience to the team. Jane handles a wide and varied caseload handling all aspects of Sales, Purchases and Remortgages.
Jane has a great relationship with the many agent contacts she has built up
during her career and is highly regarded and respected by her clients and
colleagues in the field.

Dee Puckering
Legal Executive
Dee Joined the firm in October 2023, having worked in the West End bringing over 30 years’ experience in residential property litigation. Dee is a Chartered Legal Executive specialising in Enfranchisement, which includes Lease Extensions (flats) Collective Freehold Acquisitions, The right of first refusal (Landlord and Tenant) also specialising in Landlord and Tenant possession and regulated mortgage possession claims.

Gabriella Shaffer
Paralegal
Gabriella joined the firm on a full time basis in January 2014 having worked for Moerans on and off since 2005. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and our will-writing paralegal, meeting with clients both in the office and their homes and assisting them with their Wills and Powers of Attorney.

Tzvi Pollins
Paralegal
Tzvi Pollins joined the firm in December 2020 having had 4 years’ experience at Waller Pollins Goldstein. Initially, he was a litigation paralegal and has specialised in supporting Jeremy’s property team. He is currently an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (ACILEX) and hopes to eventually qualify as a solicitor.

Mike Sharma
Property Lawyer
Mike is a Senior Assistant who works in our Property Department dealing with all aspects of residential and commercial property.
Mike has over 15 years experience in this field and is well respected amongst local agents and our clients for his care and diligence demonstrated during transactions.

James Barron
Property Executive
Having worked in the industry since 2004, James joined Moerans in October 2023 as a Property Executive. James deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing including Sales, Purchases and Remortgages. He is experienced in secured lending and bridging finance transactions as well as transfers of equity.
James has built up a loyal client base due to his communication skills, hard work and pro-active approach.

Alan Finn
Conveyancer
Having worked in the industry since 2008, Alan joined Moerans as a conveyancer in October 2023.
Alan acts for clients and lenders, handling a large and varied caseload including remortgages, title split, transfer of equity applications, secured loans
and bridging finance.
Alan also assists Dee Puckering in the Enfranchisement Department.

Doreen Bolan
Office Manager
Doreen is the firms’ Office Manager. She joined the firm in 2007 as our part time bookkeeper and has progressed to now not only looking after the accounts, but also the day to day general administration of the practice.
